This ancient practice supports overall health, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Through mindfulness, relaxation, coordination of breath and movement, joint mobilization exercises and practice of basic asanas (steady poses) we gradually increase flexibility, build strength and improve mental focus. Emphasis is on Yogic breath - deep, slow and rhythmical. Asanas are held in a meditative state. Strength and flexibility of the spine are main emphasis of the physical movements. In addition, this class will include specific exercises for training elasticity into the fascia. Modifications are available to accommodate students of all levels.
