This Centered Strength Yoga class focuses on building body awareness, stability around joints and in postures, and strength in the physical body and mind. The class explores movements and holding in postures, and students are encouraged to challenge themselves in a way that feels strengthening and steady.
This is an all-levels class accessible to those who can transition between floor (or a bed) and standing postures, options for use of props and pose variations are provided to support a practice that balances challenge and ease. It is helpful (but not necessary) to have a chair, a strap (belt or scarf), 2 blocks, 2-3 firm blankets or beach towels, and a mat.
To encourage progressive development of strength, please consider committing to the whole series and to practicing between weekly classes. Video recordings will be available for all classes for which you are registered, and can be accessed through the Content Library.
